We would like to be a rock band from felixstowe eventually. But at the moment we are just a bunch of randommers from felixstowe.
One day i decided: "wouldnt it be cool to be in a band", and i think everyone else did as well, because at this time loads
of people started forming these mythical things called "bands". So I decided to start one. It took about a year to even find
people who would turn up.
Out of the numerous people I know, I picked my brother BOB (i couldnt really NOT pick him) to play drums. We had already been
practicing music together for ages, so it was a rational choice. Then somehow a curly haired dude called Charles who sets
fire to things joined. And eventually, by powers of persuasion I convinced a man (yes a MAN) called Rachael to sing, which
she does quite well when she isnt psyching out..
And thus we began to practice. Oh the pain. Charles neighbours moved out. But eventually, being fairly intelligent (maybe
even skilled) musicians, it got better. Good enough in fact, that Charles' mum didnt kick us out of the house. But I still
have this annoying doubt, are we good enough to play in front of other people? Last saturday (i.e the 30th of april) me and
Bob and Rach (Bob and Rach and I for you pedants) played some songs acoustically at my dads friends house. There was a mix
of exciting people and old stodgy people there, but I think they liked it. Rach was like "woah" (probably because we got her
slightly tipsy first) and people kept telling her what a good singer she was. Since then we've done some more gigs, played
randomly at jam nights and we feel quite good about the whole thing really. Aomeday, someone might actually pay us for it.
We have learnt many covers of songs for our own amusement, plagarised a few maybe. Original songs are well on the way. Charles
is writing a song by playing word games. Rach I think is writing a song about how much she hates her mum. As soon as these
are done, I am going to get Rach drunk again, and we'll play them.
Once we have done that, if anyone at all actually enjoyed it, then I am going straight to someone whos name i have forgotten
at the premier pool club and asking if they want us to play, give them a demo cd. Then maybe we can really get into it. Maybe.
Ill keep posting on the news page I promise. You folks will be among the first to know.
Sign the guestbook please dudes!
